Job description
The purpose of the position is to lead the day-to-day delivery and development of company’s depositary services business in Luxembourg. You will report and support the Luxembourg Head of Depositary Services with operational, financial, governance and strategic considerations. Your responsibilities will include:
Client management - Collaborate with the depositary management team
- Ensure satisfactory reviews and high-quality client deliverables
- Support executive-level relationship management (client meetings, report presentations, etc.)
- Actively build relationships with existing clients and their other service providers
People management- Oversee and support the depositary management team.
- Assist in managing the members of the depositary team (training, development, and promotion decisions).
- Assist in recruiting junior team members.
Business development- Assist in developing the depositary service (proposal drafting, fees, team planning)
- Collaborate with the business development team
- Support the Head of Depositary Services in Luxembourg in enhancing business development materials and the company's market profile
- Build relationships with the company's leadership team
Financial performance management- Support in the establishment and monitoring of annual budgets
- Respond to various inquiries and communicate with the internal finance team and clients regarding billing
Operational development- Represent the depositary business in internal operational committees and working groups
- Assist in evaluating and evolving the company's operating framework for depositary services
- Generate and gather ideas/feedback on the operating framework, with the aim of prioritizing and presenting them to the Group's depositary management team for further review
Risk management- Provide technical support to the depositary management team for complex decisions
- Act as a higher-level authority for internal and external matters
- Ensure implementation of the company's internal control framework
- Take responsibility for planning and outcomes of internal legal, compliance, and risk reviews
- Collaborate with the Group depositary management team to facilitate an effective ISAE3402 audit process
Profile- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, ICSA or equivalent).
- Experience in running a successful business, including operational, financial, people performance, and strategic considerations.
- Track record of contributing to successful business development, including proposal drafting and fee quotations.
- Strong technical knowledge, commercial outlook, and understanding of risk, compliance, and regulation importance.
- Background in private equity and/or real estate funds is desirable.
- Experience in a CSSF-regulated environment is desirable.
