Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the preparation and submission of ITU filings (API, CR/C, Notifications) and respond to inquiries from the BR.
  • Conduct technical studies to aid in frequency coordination, including interference assessments, link budget reviews, and coverage evaluations.
  • Utilize tools such as SRS, GIMS, SpaceCap, SpaceCom, and BR IFIC databases to model and assess satellite network characteristics.
  • Take the lead in coordination activities with other satellite operators and national administrations.
  • Analyze orbital slot availability and contribute to satellite network planning and payload configuration from a spectrum and regulatory perspective.
  • Stay informed on developments in ITU-R Study Groups, regulatory frameworks, and spectrum policy evolution.
  • Represent the company in regulatory and coordination forums (e.g., CEPT, national regulatory bodies).
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and commercial teams to ensure regulatory strategies are aligned with both system design and business objectives.
Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, RF Engineering, or a closely related field (Master’s degree is advantageous).
  • At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in satellite spectrum engineering and preparation of ITU filings.
  • Solid knowledge of the ITU Radio Regulations and frequency coordination practices, including familiarity with LEO, MEO, and GEO systems.
  • Proficient in using ITU software tools (SRS, SpaceCap, GIMS, etc.) with a strong grasp of orbit and spectrum resource management.
  • Skilled in technical analysis and simulations involving radio frequency and interference scenarios.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Prior engagement with regulatory organizations (e.g., ITU, ECC, or national authorities) is highly desirable.
