Job description
  • Actively follow international regulatory developments, spectrum policies, and ITU-R Study Group activities to anticipate potential impacts on ongoing and future missions.
  • Use ITU software tools and databases to model satellite networks, assess parameters, and support technical evaluations.
  • Lead negotiations and coordination discussions with administrations and other satellite operators, ensuring the company’s interests are represented.
  • Provide input into satellite payload design and orbital resource planning, integrating both technical and regulatory considerations.
  • Participate in regulatory meetings and working groups, contributing to the company’s positioning on spectrum-related matters.
  • Deliver technical analyses such as link budgets, coverage assessments, and interference simulations to support coordination processes.
  • Prepare and submit ITU filings, and handle inquiries or feedback from the Bureau with accurate technical responses.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, commercial, and legal teams to align business strategy with regulatory planning and compliance.
Profile
  • Academic background in Telecommunications, RF Engineering, or an equivalent technical field (a higher degree is a plus).
  • Solid professional track record of at least three years in spectrum management for satellites, with practical involvement in ITU filings and coordination.
  • Familiar with GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite systems, as well as the regulatory framework of the ITU and international coordination procedures.
  • Proficient in using industry tools and databases such as SRS, GIMS, and SpaceCap for spectrum modelling and analysis.
  • Strong expertise in evaluating RF environments, conducting interference studies, and performing link budget calculations.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Prior interactions with regulatory authorities or international bodies are a clear asset.
